Golf took roots in the early 1970 with the areas first 18 hole golf course at El Cid Country Club part of the mega El Cid resort. Simple and friendly, El Cid’s layout accommodated the growth of American Ex-Pats who longed for a golf course to play, as well as area hotel guests.
El Cid brought excitement to the Mazatlan with the 9 hole addition by Lee Trevino in 2000 to complete a 27 hole complex. The El Cid Golf & Country Club features 27 holes of golf and is currently the only resort in Mexico to feature a Lee Trevino signature designed course.
It has played host to many International golf events and is situated on a biological reserve that is home to deer, turtles, fish, exotic birds, and crocodiles in a natural setting.
El Cid is known for its excellent views and many lakes and offers a challenge to all skill levels. Of course, carts and caddies are available, as are a driving range, putting greens and short-game area.
We offer access to the best courses in Mazatlan, including choices for every type of trip you can imagine, all designed to help you experience and enjoy the trip.
